The Closing of the Bones ceremony was truly a transformational rebirthing and a homecoming to my body and spirit. A year after the birth of my firstborn son, I was guided and held by Jess and Stephy through what felt like a recalibration and reintroduction to every new and old part of myself. Perfectly timed, and divinely aligned, the ceremony marked a significant moment of passing through the portal from maidenhood to motherhood. As if all the pieces of my soul that were exposed and scattered from the beautiful experience of childbirth had recollected safely back in. A return to the whole Self, a cocoon in which to emerge new again.

Personally, the diversity and potency of raw, unhinged emotions that surfaced throughout felt equally matched to the potency of Jess and Stephy’s ability to hold a safe, nurturing container of love. Six months later, the effects of the ceremony are still within my bones and soul. It was truly an otherworldly experience that gave me strength and feminine empowerment to face and embrace what being in this world as a mother requires of us.
