Birthed by Earth: The Road to The Wylde Hearth

I am a Mumma, a Sister, an Aunty, a lover—and a Wylde Woman. The Wylde Hearth was birthed from years of travelling the world and connecting deeply with the sacredness of the Earth, the wild spirit of the land, and the ancient ways of ceremony, circles and gatherings across many cultures. My intention through the array of treatments and ceremonies I offer is simple and powerful: to nourish our infinite potential and awaken the medicine woman/man that lives in us all.

The Daintree: Where Land and Lineage Spoke

My journey with bodywork began alongside studies in Crystal Resonance Therapy, Reiki and Massage—and a commitment to connect with the spirit of the land. Immediately after completing my Cert IV in Remedial Massage, I was offered an incredible opportunity to work in destination spas throughout Australia with Li’tya—“of the Earth”—spa care born of the Australian Dreaming.

My first placement was at The Healing Waters Spa at Silky Oaks Lodge, nestled in the Daintree on the banks of the Mossman Gorge. Li’tya reawakened my love for sacredness and ceremony and anchored in me a rich knowing of this land’s potency—the wisdom of her people and her bush medicines. The Daintree and the spirit of Mossman Gorge connected my soul to the living magic of Country. I spent ten years in that embrace, learning how land teaches—without words, without hurry, with depth.

During those years, Reiki softened my soul and awakened the healing power of touch. My teacher, Faye Wenke, held attunements out on Country—initiations by the waters of Roaring Meg Falls in an Aboriginal women’s space. The place itself became teacher and temple.

Teachers, Tools & Letting Go

My study of Crystal Resonance Therapy deepened with Naisha Ahsian (The Book of Stones; Crystal Ally Cards). It wasn’t just a course—it was a life change. Four years of intense shedding, releasing all that didn’t honour the path my spirit needed to walk. There was a lot to let go of… and with each layer, more of my true work could breathe.

Then came a moment of leaping. I left my Far North nest to travel Australia—camping for a long while, listening with my whole body. The land carries stories for those who lean in close. Across that journey I fell in love with the elements and learned how to invite their resonance into our lives for healing, transformation and growth:

  • Earth through the Cape and the Kimberley—strength, steadiness, sovereign belonging.

  • Fire along the West Coast—courage, purification, the spark of becoming.

  • Water across the Great Australian Bight—flow, feeling, remembering how to soften.

  • Wind at Uluru and Kata Tjuṯa—clarity, vision, the unseen conversations of spirit.

  • And the storm—atop the highest mountain in the Flinders Ranges—teaching release.

What a country. What a teacher.

City Season, Soul Tools

From sleeping close to the Earth, I travelled on to Canada, landing right in the heart of Vancouver. That shift brought up a lot! I had to learn new ways to maintain earth-connection in the city. That season taught me the medicine of meditation, yoga, dancing and drumming—plus tree-hugging in winter coats, wearing bright colours on grey days, smiling at strangers, and practising deep gratitude as a daily devotion.

Ceremonies Across Cultures

The journey continued with sweat lodges, singing in the womb of the Earth. In Mexico, I joined ceremonies—drumming and dancing around circular pyramids with the Mayan people, watching sunsets over sacred valleys to the heartbeat of the medicine drum. I remembered other lives, other ways. I honoured who I had been and who I was becoming.

All of it lives in my hands now. Every time we tend our own healing, that vibration ripples outward—through our families, our communities, and the Earth herself.

The Weaving: Modalities That Hold My Work

My treatments and ceremonies are an alive tapestry—technique and training braided with intuition, story and song. I draw from:

  • Remedial Massage & Spa Therapies (Cert IV; Li’tya – “of the Earth”; The Healing Waters Spa, Silky Oaks Lodge)

  • Crystal Resonance Therapy (study with Naisha Ahsian)

  • Reiki Jin Kei Do & Buddho ~ EnerSense (initiations with Faye Wenke, land-based attunements at Roaring Meg Falls)

  • Crystal Earth Shamanism (earth-listening practices guided by land, lineage and elders)

  • Mayan Abdominal Therapy (womb-centred bodywork for flow, fertility and feminine vitality)

  • Sacred Sound Immersions & Restorative Yoga (voice, drum and instruments to settle and restore)

  • Mumma Medicina Practitioner (woman-honouring practices for rites of passage and cyclical living)

  • Circles & Ceremony (new and full moon circles, blessingways, closing of the bones, bespoke rites—first bleed to celebration of life)

With deep reverence and gratitude to the lands that teach and hold this work—especially the Country I live and practice on in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, and the Traditional Custodians who continue to care for it.

What I Offer Now

I now live in Maleny and offer Ceremonial Embodyment journeys: massages, facials, sacred sound immersions (and bespoke combinations—a ceremony all for you!), new moon circles, restorative yoga + sound, and celebrations for life’s thresholds—from birth to death. I also serve as a ceremony holder at women’s gatherings and community events. Everything I offer is for one purpose: to support, nourish and lush up our souls for this sacred time on Earth.

Why Ceremony?

Ritual is how we remember. It’s how we slow down enough to hear our own inner wisdom. It’s how we honour beginnings and endings, grief and gratitude, the ordinary and the holy. Whether we’re crafting a personal rite of passage, resting into sound, or receiving hands-on bodywork, ceremony invites us home—to breath, to body, to belonging.

An Invitation

If something in this story stirs your bones—if your body is asking for rest, if your heart is ready for gentleness, if your spirit longs for a rite that truly honours where you are—I would be honoured to hold that with you. Bring your questions, your tenderness, your curiosity. Bring your whole, beautiful self.

With Love,
Stephy
